Belltower, Florence

Begun in 1334 by Giotto, this bell tower was completed by Francesco Talenti after Giotto's death in 1359. Reaching a height of over 270 feet, the marble structure offers a panoramic view of the City from its top. It is adjacent to the Duomo (Cathedral) in Florence. The Duomo is the 4th largest cathedral in the world.
