On September 19, 1846, the Blessed Mother appeared to two children (Melanie Calvat and Maximin Giraud) in the village of LaSalette, France. The vision was approved by the Church in 1851. In essence, the apparition's message, which foretold many future events in great detail, was to the effect that Satan is in the world sowing error and sin.
