A view of the countryside in Israel from Mount Tabor. On the slopes of Mount Tabor can still be seen a fragment of the wall that was erected by Josephus, the famous historian of the Jewish War. The Basilica of the Transfiguration, which was completed in 1924, is near the top of the mountain.
