Chartres Cathedral



This photo shows another of the stained glass windows inside the Cathedral. By depicting stories in the Bible, the stained glass windows of the early Middle Ages were a means of teaching the Bible to illiterate people, in addition to being beautiful and functional elements of the cathedral building.
